Historic Union Market reopens in D.C.

The historic Union Market in Washington D.C. reopened in September after undergoing a remarkable restoration. East Coast developers Edens sought to revive the open-air market that has been a part of D.C.’s culinary history since 1871.

Working with Edens, Dyal and Partners was involved in the redevelopment project, including the design of a large canopy sign on the facade of the building that features internally illuminated letterforms.

The new Union Market is a breath of fresh air for the neighborhood and has already become a popular destination for D.C., especially for tenant Rappahannock River Oysters.
